A London Taxi, taken with a slow shutter while panning with the vehicle, it was moving towards then away from me, hence the interesting affect of the front and back, with only the middle of the vehicle not distorted as this is what I focused on, very arty and enjoyable so I did a whole series of these |

I have always loved these sort of shots, and now with my Minolta 7D and the same lens as above, it was an easy proposition to capture this shot. I took quite a few but the ones with the flash worked out brightest and most colourful, although I did have the white balance switched to a fluorescent to get the rich blues. Now of course I'm after a good flash with high speed synchronisation |

I really enjoyed using my Monilta 7D here as the multitude of buttons made it easy to adapt to the flow of the game. The youth team was playing that day, but the tackles were taken as seriously as in major team games |

I'd never taken any sports photography until I went to snap the local rugby club (The Saracens) playing one Sunday. Initially I found it very difficult to get anything interesting because my timing was way out, but after a while I started to synchronise with the game and predict when something good was going to happen. I also realised that the ball really needed to be visible to add context to the action |

And no quarter was given, the teams were totally commited to their game, and yes, there is a ball in there somewhere |

It's amazing the strange transient shapes a human body can make, here this cricketer seems to have dislocated his leg (he didn't of course) just to make the ball, but of course it was all part of the game. My 7D did a very good job of taking the cricket pictures on this days, with the ball exactly where I would want it to be in the majority of shots |

We do kick, not often and usually low, here to the rib cage |

I caught this train passing through a station at night with a long exposure panning shot, I think it worked very well |
