Sony Alpha Single Lens Translucent Mirror 16.2MPixel Digital
After 6 years of excellent service my 7D developed some aperture control problems, and with its 6MPixels being rather low compared to current machines I decided to upgrade. With my lens collection and accessories I did not want to leave the Alpha mount club and fortunately Sony brought out a fantastic replacement just in time for Christmas, and with a VAT back offer as well, so it was an easy decision, the SLT-A55v was tried, tested and purchased from Jessops who where very helpful allowing me to try out my old lenses as well as my flash unit to check compatability. Not all of my old lenses performed on the new camera, flare and focusing speed being the two main problems and my Sigma 28-70 F2.8 did not focus at all, but my newer or higher spec lenses all worked as did my 3600HS flash, in HSS and Wireless modes as well as normal modes.

The camera is amazing, and it's sensor is a astounding, capable of high ISO shots with very low noise and high detail.
