Galnet or Galaxy Network (historically written as GalNet but this has passed into disuse), is the galactic communications network which routes messages between a source and one or more destinations (also broadcasts to groups) using the fastest available route. The route chosen depends on your access level (which includes cost of call), and security requirements. The following technologies are available:

• Electro-Magnetic Radiation - very slow, very long distance, not guaranteed, prone to interference, general broadcast or directed signal.
• Neutrino-Gravatic - as for EM but more reliable.
• Twinned-Quark - very fast point to point delivery, unblockable, requires matched transceivers.
• MasiSpace Relay Network - fast point to point or broadcast transfer, can be very long distance (uses a mix of TQ, EM and NG technologies), reliability varies with number of switches required.
• Telepathy - ultra fast point to point delivery (distance varying), requires telepaths, very reliable, almost impossible to jam.
