Flights

The earth is a beautiful place and one of my favourite ways to see it is from up in the air.

Is this Mars or the Moon ? The clouds give it away, but looking down on the Earth at times, especially when looking at desert or mountainous regions, you could almost believe it was uninhabited. But often the roads, rail networks or small towns (or as below I think a military establishment) give away our existence.

As we leave Asia and approach Europe, the clouds change their nature as does the land.

Approach The scenery takes on a distinct green and populated look.

Landing Landing at Heathrow provided an opportunity for a look at Concorde, still grounded after the Paris incident. What a beautiful piece of kit. If it looks a little hazy compared to the rest of the picture that's because of the jet wash from the engines.
